Spennymoor Town have tonight completed a one-month loan deal for Gateshead's Thomas White.
The 19-year-old midfielder signed a professional contract with the National League side until the end of the 2017/18 season after bouncing back from a major ACL injury last February with remarkable professionalism.
After a lengthy recovery process, and training with Gateshead out-of-contract, he was rewarded with the contract by Heed management and is now focusing on regaining match sharpness with Moors.
He made his first appearance for Gateshead last week in a 1-1 friendly draw with Kilmarnock, where he set up his side's only goal.
After returning from injury and getting the chance to register some more game time, Thomas said: "I'm really pleased with how things are going at the moment and excited for the future.
"Obviously it's been a long process but now I'm relieved to finally get back playing and I'm glad I've been given the chance to really kick-on.
"It's been a while since I've played a competitive match so it will be great to finally get back on the pitch and show people what I can do.
"It gives you a kick up the backside really and makes you really determined to prove yourself because you only get one chance and you can't afford to rest on your laurels - you have to do all you can to be the best you can be."
Jason Ainsley added "Toms worked exceptionally hard to come back from a cruciate injury and has been training and playing with Gatesheads first team for a couple of months now.
Tom was exceptional in the game against Kilmarnock the other day and his attitude and performances are exactly what we require at this stage of the season.
Tom is extremely comfortable on the ball and has a good range of passing which is the type of player that suits the way we like to play. We wish him well during his time with the club."
