Spennymoor Town will feature heavily in BBC Two’s coverage of the FA Cup First Round draw on Monday night.
Fans are welcome at The Moors Tavern to watch the draw live.
The programme starts at 19:00 on both BBC Two and BT Sport, with the draw happening at 19:10. It will also feature a two-and-a-half minute package covering Moors’ sensational victory over Lincoln United on Saturday. Moors management and players were interviewed pre and post-match and the celebrations on the final whistle were filmed.
The club will be represented in Salford by Manager Jason Ainsley and Assistant Manager Tommy Miller, who will be interviewed live about their hopes for the rest of the season, including the FA Cup.
Don’t miss the draw, where Spennymoor will be ball number 58.
Manager Jason Ainsley praised both his players and the travelling Spennymoor support after the game yesterday. He said: “We’d love a home draw to reward the supporters who travelled to Lincoln in their numbers. Hartlepool would be a great one because of the links we have with them, but there are plenty of other big clubs in there too.
“The lads worked hard from start to finish to dominate the game and I thought they were a credit to the shirt and the club.
“The fans were immense. They made this like a home game and the lads certainly thrived on the atmosphere.
“Special thanks to Glen Taylor too, who was here today supporting all the lads despite being injured. Let’s not forget the goal he scored against Chorley to get us here. The lads who didn’t play today have still played a massive part in getting us to the third round.”
Ties will be played on either Friday 4, Saturday 5, Sunday 6 and Monday 7 November.
