Spennymoor Town FC are pleased to announce the launch of the 2016 Christmas Appeal.
This year we will be collecting donations on behalf of Spennymoor Foodbank.
We are looking for donations of Christmas-related items such as Christmas puddings, Chocolates, Biscuits and Selection boxes for children. Also, items that you would normally shop for such as Tea, Coffee, Sugar, Rice, Cereals, Pasta and sauces as well as tinned food, bottles of fizzy pop and fruit juices that can be distributed before the holiday season.
Donations can be made at anytime at the ground between 11:30 and 1pm on weekdays but the main date for donations will be on 10th December when we are at home to Matlock Town.
Receptacles will be available inside the ground to receive donations.
Mike Rowcroft, Director of Community and Fan Engagement, said: "Our aim is to place the club at the centre of the community. Anything we can do to help support the people of Spennymoor over the festive period can only be beneficial.
“We had the opening of the Moors Tavern earlier in the year, which we are building up into a community hub and this is one more step on that journey. We hope everyone can support this appeal.
Thankyou on behalf of the Spennymoor Town Board."
