The Spennymoor Town Board has been given a refresh ahead of the new season in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division.
Chief Executive Bradley Groves explains:
New expertise has been added to the board to allow the club to continue improving our match day experience for fans and give them more access to Moors news and content throughout the season.
New additions Matthew Herrell and Adam Brown have joined us, while Billy Beasley, Mike Rowcroft, Chris Pomfret, Phil Ball and Steven Lawson will continue to support me as they have done for some time. I’m also pleased to welcome close club friend Trevor Beaumont into a new role as President.
The new Board structure is as follows:
Bradley Groves – CEO
Billy Beasley – Director of Fundraising and Events
Mike Rowcroft – Director of Supporter and Community Engagement
Chris Pomfret – Director of Match Day Hospitality
Phil Ball – Director of Grants and Regeneration
Steven Lawson – Director of Match Day Operations
Matthew Herrell – Director of Finance
Adam Brown – Director of PR and Media
Trevor Beaumont – Club President
I’ve worked professionally with both Matthew and Adam outside of Spennymoor and Adam has previously been involved with us during the unforgettable FA Vase winning season in 2012/13.
Adam has five years of experience in PR and Communications and a background in semi-professional football, giving him a good grounding in what we need for this role.
Matt works for me as our Head of Finance and has held several senior financial positions at other companies. I’m confident he’ll maintain the club’s strong commercial position.
Trevor is one of our most committed supporters. He travels from Stamford for every home game and is an advocate of everything we are trying to do for the club and the town. He’s held positions on the Board of Leicester City and was previously on the board at Spennymoor United, so he has a wealth of football and business experience. I’ve counted on him for support in the past and I know I can continue to do so now he’s joined us in an official capacity.
I’m pleased to welcome the new members as we move into a new league which we intend to be extremely competitive in. We hope that the excellent work of the existing Board members and the new added capacity will mean being a Spennymoor Town supporter will become even more enjoyable.
Equally, I hope anyone visiting The Brewery Field in 2016/17 will leave with a lasting impression of our club as a quality outfit, which we know has already been the case in recent times.
I look forward to seeing our brilliant, loyal supporters at the matches next season and I hope to see plenty of new ones joining them too as we begin the new adventure.
